For You formed my inward parts; You knitted me together in
my mothers womb.
Psalm 139:13

Have you ever considered all the evil that you have committed in your life? All the lies, the lust, the hate, the slander, you name it, we all know we've done each of these things and more. Have you ever let those things weigh down on your conscience and then realized that God had seen and knew the day, time and place of each sinful act by which you would fail Him and break His heart before there was even time? Have you thought about that, but then realized that despite that fact, He created you anyway? Knowing full well how often and how much we would fail Him there He was, literally assembling us, knitting us together, piece by piece as we grew inside our mothers. This thought brings me to my knees. That's love. That's the kind of person I want in my corner. The one that will stand up and vouch for me, will say, that's my boy and I'm proud of him when I'm bleeding out on the mat because I've made poor choices and been knocked flat once again.

That's the kind of God we serve! That's the kind of love we get to tap into everyday. Aren't you stunned and silent knowing that He stands up for you, He hangs on a cross for you, even though you're a dirt bag who doesn't deserve one iota of His love? That's the kind of person we ought to stand up for too. We should be standing as tall as we can saying, This is MY God. He loves me even though I don't deserve it and I love Him too! He stands for us even when we don't stand for Him. Let's change that. Let's stand tall for Him.
This month we are going to learn a song called, The Stand. It's all about leaving everything behind, sin, self, materials, loved ones, everything, to stand for the one who stood for us when no one should have; that when we fully grasp the kind of love that He has for us we leap to our feet and stand tall for our Lord and Savior. Let's stand together this month. Let's stand for Christ.

Worshiping with you,
Nick
